Job Description: Therapist

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct services in the form of individual, group and family therapy, including intake/assessments and emergent services responding to child and adult victims of sex abuse and their non-offending family members

  • Provide direct services for victims of violent crimes or domestic violence

  • Provide education in sexual abuse, identification, disclosure, referral and treatment to school systems and other service providers

  • Develop, when necessary, guidelines for delivering culturally sensitive services to a specified population

  • Coordinate with crisis staff and referring agencies for case management as appropriate

  • Attend staff/consultation/supervision meetings as required

  • Maintain accurate records and confidential files and collect data as required

  • Be available for limited evening and weekend assignments

  • Attend and/or participate in work related training as required

  • Provide written reports and data collection to Executive Director and Clinical Supervisor

  • Perform crisis line duties

  • Duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of sex abuse and sexual assault issues

  • Knowledge of crime victims and violent crimes issues

  • Knowledge of child development and family systems

  • Experience working with crisis intervention

  • Two years’ clinical experience

  • Must complete 30-hour Core Therapy Training

  • Must complete 12 hours annual continuing education

  • Knowledge of cultural and racial diversity

  • Must maintain confidentiality

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with staff, clients and community partners

  • Experience providing direct service in social services

  • Experience counseling with children and families

  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills

  • Commitment to KSAC vision, mission, and values

  • Master’s degree and licensed with the State of Washington

 

Other Qualifications

  • Reliable transportation, valid WA State Driver’s License and acceptable WA State Patrol Criminal History Record

JOB DESCRIPTION: Administrative Assistant

Reports to: Executive Director

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to Executive Director, therapists, and advocates.

  • Oversee facilities maintenance and repairs. Supervise subcontractors.

  • Supervise volunteers for operational and administrative related projects.

  • Manage recruitment functions in coordination with the Executive Director: posting open positions, reference checks, scheduling interviews, and performing background checks.

  • Assist Executive Director in developing grant proposals in order secure continued funding and seek out new funding opportunities.

  • Prepare monthly or quarterly grant invoices.

  • Managing agency budgets.

  • Maintaining interdepartmental quality performance.

  • Analyzing fiscal plans and developing goals.

  • Preparing special reports and proposals.

  • Federal, state and local reports filing.

  • Maintain updated versions of Policies and Procedures, By-laws, and Board documents.

  • Review agency files for retention and destruction.

  • Maintain records for accreditation requirements.

  • Maintain and update personnel records, assemble New Hire packets, and perform annual background checks for staff, volunteers and Board of Directors.

  • Perform plan administration duties for various medical insurance carriers, enroll new employees into medical, dental, vision plans. Administer the retirement plan. Act as the agency liaison between carriers and employees.

  • Work with the Executive Director and the Board of Directors to ensure the successful completion of fund development activities, including but not limited to, special events and annual campaigns.

  • Oversee the Training Bank Grant. Submit necessary paperwork for obtaining training approval through the Office of Crime Victim Advocacy (OCVA). Complete training registrations and make travel arrangements. Once the training has been completed, prepare and submit invoices and documentation in accordance with the Training Bank Grant requirements.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners. Develop Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and contracts with subcontractors when appropriate.

  • Maintain list of community resources and update semi-annually.

  • Ensure InfoNet is kept up to date with funding information, and staff and volunteer information.

  • Monitor all employees for compliance with the training requirements of the contract by which their position is funded.

  • Attend community outreach events, networking opportunities, and represent the agency by attending meetings in the Executive Director’s absence.

  • Coordinate staff and volunteer coverage of community outreach and events.

  • Answer phones. Direct information and referrals to appropriate program staff.

  • Provide information and referrals to appropriate community resources.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by Executive Director.

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of four years of administrative experience required.

  • Ability to adapt and manage varied situations.

  • Ability to provide crisis intervention, whether it be a crisis line call or an in-person crisis. Must be able to complete intake referrals for advocates and therapists.

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with staff, clients and community partners.

  • High level verbal and written communication skills; ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines and with multiple distractions.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Must be proficient with QuickBooks.

  • Must have experience maintaining confidentiality.

  • Must attend 30-hour Core Advocate Training.
